Now I’m thinking bout to start from the begining and recreating the model(s) but this time using Arnold, offering a complete hair system, animation system and base feature + super clean learning curve. I don’t know if anybody has already been using this, but I’m looking forward to interacting with the community and sharing knowledge to benefit the CG community in the most positive way, answering all questions and suggestions. I will attempt to limit my access to my artwork and focus on teaching the CG community of the best software solutions that exist right now, so the CG community as a whole can benefit. I want to spread the knowledge about what’s going on in the CG world, what’s coming up and what are the imperfections are, so the CG community can take the knowledge and make their art better
Right now this is not a fixed set of plugs, there is an endless list that will at least grow over time. I’m more than happy to make sure that all the issues are addressed and closed as well as new issues emerge. So please feel free to give me feedback, suggestions, criticism or compliments. I’m open to both, since I want to be the best at my craft and also work on the issues of the community that need solving.
This is base Ornatrix with a lot of the base Mesh Caching and Animation exposed and manipulated via the main view. This is a starting point, so I’m not an artist but I do understand what’s happening in the view. I’m much more than happy to get to the core of the internal workings and abstract to explain, instead of making the sourcecode available. This is untested and not production ready, but it at least gives the community a base to build on and if there’s a problem with it, I’m willing to work on fixing the problem.
As workaround I also tried the file>ornatrix alembic exporter, that way I was able to export the frames, but loading these back in via the Animation Cach Object gives me a mirrored output in -Z direction and no way of mirroring my original mesh, or the cached hair. d2c66b5586
