Hello, I'm looking for a Suzuki violin method that will be easy for a five year and would be great for playing a variety of pieces in school piano. I found one but notice that it lacks a lot of the Suzuki foundation, but I think it "makes up" for whatever it lacks with a great pick-up method. The problem that I have is that in the set of about 20 pieces, there are very few for the five year old. Many of them have a 4 year old playing really slowly and some even have a 3 year old playing really slowly. I'm hoping that by the time my daughter's five years old, she will be able to play a number of pieces from this program, so that when she's ready to progress to the Suzuki violin method, it will be no problem for her to do so.
The book that I found for this program is ETA COMEA COHEN, "Suzuki Method." I thought that I'd see it here, but I didn't seem to. Maybe it was a typo or something. If not, please let me know - I'd love it if it was here. When I'm child is 5, I would like to have Suzuki violin method assume that it's running across a bridge at the time. I want a method that will teach children to interpret music. My daughter is very bright, but I'd hate if she wasn't able to interpret music, because she'd be just too far behind her age group. I do not recommend starting with Suzuki when she's 5, as it's not too easy right off the bat. But at some point, we're going to need to change. I'm trying to figure out which method would be most appropriate.
I am looking for a program that takes advantage of a five year old's attention span. I've been doing this for 2 years and an eight year old is still trying to do the same thing. Basically, I want a method for 1.) instruction in beginners and 2.) instruction in advance stage where the child is playing something she can do. Is there something similar to the Suzuki Violin Method out there? d2c66b5586
